Been here a few times and although the food is nothing special, prices are reasonable and facilities good. It is a little oasis in the wilderness though. Be ware of what Google tells you re. Opening times. Pic I posted shows real Opening times. Hope it helps.

I have been coming here for a number of years. It ia a great stop off on route to Inverness or return. There is an open fire, great parking, beautiful views. The only slightly dissappointing thing is they have stopped doing the all day Scottish breakfast. I think this is a mistake. It is traditional and fits in with the ambience and setting. Having said that, the lunch items are excellent too. Highly recommend.

Don't leave your coat in the car! Quaint place, lovely food, served quickly and efficiently. We arrived in mid-November, temperature outside was 4C, and not much warmer inside. The wood burner was struggling to keep up. Still worth a stop though

One of the few dining/coffee options in this stunning part of the Highlands. Pretty much a must for a short stop and some rest. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the fireplace? Absolutely cozy and warming. :-)

Best burger we've had for a long time! I highly recommend the Loch Ericht Burger. It's so nice to find a place to eat that isn't pretentious. Service is a little slow as there is lack of staff, but there is in most places. What a hidden gem!

The attached picture is of their loch ericht burger - holy shit was it the best burger I've ever had in a LONG time! When we arrived, i was concerned that it was gonna be a bit dodgy (i may have also been starved and not looking at anything other than getting in and eating something), but when we went in it was completely empty - it felt like the set of a zombie apocalypse show, but once the food arrived it turned into redemption arc, we cured the zombies with the incredible food - this may also be a synonym for how I felt, I'm unsure, all I can say, is if you're driving past this place, you must stop to eat!

Beautiful cafe! Lovely kind staff. The young lady on the till was a gem. Lovely wood burner in the middle of the room and wonderful views. I only got a coffee and a muffin but both were wonderful. Tasty and not over priced. The menu looked fab! Was a bit too early for lunch but I had my eye on the veggie haggis chips and curry. Don't worry wel be back and that is definitely what I'm having!!

We have stopped at the Snack Shack several times and it is a perfect place to visit to stretch your legs, use the restrooms and have a bite to eat. The food is homemade, tasty and reasonably priced £. The menu is extensive and has vegetarian options. The service is friendly and fast and the facility is clean. The interior looks like a modern chalet (perhaps a little dated, but who cares as it is clean) with vaulted ceilings and it is equipped with a wood burning stove for ambiance and heat. The views by the windows are nice as there is a stream with wildlife.
